Corporate Relocation Services...
Our Relocation Department knows the business of relocation. Countless relocating individuals, families, spouses, companions, foreign nationals as well as entire departments have benefited from our experience and expertise.
From Williamsburg to Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, we've got you covered. After targeting certain areas, transferees can then explore and examine potential suburban communities through one point of contact: William E. Wood and Associates. We manage each move from start to finish.
Making the right move...
Moving is not an easy business. William E. Wood and Associates' Relocation Department tries to make this as stress free as possible. Starting with our initial phone call to incoming city or suburb dwellers, we evaluate their needs and listen to their expectations. As the process unfurls, we uncover trepidations about moving from the known, to the unknown. We have at our disposal a host of tools to help you feel at home sooner, rather than later.
Our initial "get to know you" telephone consultation...
We ask the important questions: number of people involved with the move, current hobbies and lifestyles, current living situation, potential cultural barriers, possible schooling requirements, spouses' career, obstacles or opportunities created with the move, existing extended family support system, prior experience living in the area, expected arrival and timing of move.
After our informal information gathering session, we outline potential possibilities for our clients. The choices in Hampton Roads and its surrounding areas can be intimidating, but after our initial phone call, our clients feel more comfortable, which allows us to take them to the next step. We process their information and begin the introductions to neighborhoods in the Hampton Roads area that experience tells us they may identify with and feel at home. Generally speaking, real estate agents make the biggest impact on whether a transferee enjoys this experience or not. Hence, our next step.
We guide our clients through the jungle of information gathering...
Our job is not to tell our clients what to do, but to soften their hard decisions. We give them the information they need, the counseling they want, the support they demand. When it comes to whether to buy or rent, whether to live in the city or outside the city, whether to send the children to public or private school, whether to join this church or that synagogue, whether to use this moving company or that insurance company, this lawyer or that mortgage broker, this housing inspector or that contractor, this decorator or that cleaning lady, they can stand on their own, because now they really know the answers.
We have the resources, we have the counselors, and we have the time to help you make educated, decisions about the way you choose to live your lives.
Pre-arrival comprehensive consultations...
A William E. Wood and Associates relocation specialist counsels every transferee via telephone before their arrival to determine their needs and any specific individual or family requirements -- we gather information about schooling/education concerns child care necessities spousal/companion career placement cost of living/financial parameters commuting stipulations space/home wish lists lifestyles/community service participation hobbies/social affiliations potential cultural barriers special needs.
Pre-arrival information packets...
After we gather information, we send the transferee information on target areas based on their responses. We arrange for an appropriate broker to educate the transferee on specific targeted communities in conjunction with or separately from home finding searches. Transferees begin the process of educating themselves on the real estate market and the different costs associated with each area.
Continual Feedback Sessions...
One point of contact allows transferees to have one constant sounding board. We monitor the relocation process to better guide the transferee through their learning curve.
Residence Assistance...
We provide services for those transferees in need of additional assistance with telephone or utility hook ups and special deliveries, as well as special introductions to areas due to cultural barriers.
